Motorola on Wednesday launched two new smartphones in its budget Moto E series, the Moto E4 and Moto E4 Plus at an event in New Delhi. Unveiled globally in June, the fourth generation Moto E series is announced in India at a price starting at Rs. 8,999.
Talking about the base variant Moto E4 first, the smartphone features a 5-inch HD (720×1280 resolution) display. It is powered by the MT6737 MediaTek processor paired with 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage. The storage can be further expanded via microSD card. As for the camera, the Moto E4 sports an 8-megapixel autofocus rear camera and a 5-megapixel front facing camera for selfies. The device packs a 2800mAh removable battery. The phone boasts metal finish and the fingerprint sensor is located on the physical home button. The Moto E4 ships with Android 7.1.1 Nougat. Lenovo owned Moto has introduced a new Blush Gold variant of the new Moto E4 in India.
The Moto E4 Plus meanwhile features a 5.5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) display. The USP of the device is its mammoth size 5000mAh battery. The phone is powered by a 64-bit quad cquad-coressor. While the phone was introduced in two RAM and storage versions- 2GB RAM+16GB storage and 3GB RAM+32GB internal storage, Motorola has brought only the 3GB RAM variant for the Indian consumers. Fine antenna lines run on the top and bottom of the back panel and the Moto logo sits at the centre with circular camera module above it.
In terms of imaging, the Moto E4 Plus sports a 13-megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture and single LED flash. At front, it has a 5-megapixel camera with f/2.2 aperture and a single LED flash module that will help users capture better selfies under low light condition. On the software front, the Moto E4 Plus runs Android 7.1 Nougat out-of-the-box.
