Motorola has officially unveiled the details of its new entry-level Moto E smartphones- Moto E4 and Moto E4 Plus. The Moto E4 will cost $129.99 (roughly Rs. 8,400) and will be made available later as an Amazon Prime Exclusive phone. The Moto E4 Plus will start at $179.99 (roughly Rs. 11,700).
Compared to previous iteration the new Moto E series comes with improved specification. Talking about the Moto E4 first, the smartphone features a 5-inch HD (720×1280 resolution) display. It powered by a quadcore 1.4GHz Snapdragon 425 processor paired with 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage. The storage can be further expanded via microSD card. As for the camera, the Moto E4 sports an 8-megapixel autofocus rear camera and a 5-megapixel front facing camera for selfies. The device packs a 2800mAh removable battery. The phone boasts metal finish and the fingerprint sensor is located on the physical home button. The Moto E4 ships with Android 7.1 Nougat.
The Moto E4 Plus, meanwhile feature a large 5.5-inch HD (720×1280 resolution) display with pixel density of 267ppi. The handset also sports smooth metal finish and the fingerprint sensor sits on the home button. The processor on the Moto E4 Plus is similar to the one in the base model Moto E4. The device offers two storage options- 2GB RAM+16GB storage and 2GB RAM+32GB storage version. As for batteries, the Moto E4 Plus packs a mammoth 5000mAh battery. The phone runs Android 7.1 Nougat out-of-the-box. In terms of imaging, the Moto E4 Plus carries a 13-megapixel rear sensor and a 5-megapixel front facing camera with selfie flash for capturing better images in low light condition.
Both the smartphones support dual-SIM and come with rapid charger. The Moto E4 has a 5 Watt charger while the Moto E4 Plus is supplied with a 10 Watt charger. The Plus variant also boasts Dolby Atmos dual microphones.
The Moto E4 and E4 Plus will be available soon in grey, gold and a blue colour variant exclusively for the Moto E4. Speaking about the availability, Motorola in its blog post said, “Moto E4 and Moto E4 Plus will be available in a variety of sophisticated metal finishes beginning this month across various countries.”
