Motorola’s most affordable smartphone, the Moto C Plus from the new Moto C series is coming to India next week. The Lenovo-owned brand has sent out official invite for the Moto C Plus launch event on June 19.
Earlier this month, Motorola had launched the base variant, Moto C in the country with an affordable price tag of Rs. 5,999. Both Moto C and Moto C Plus were officially introduced in May in Latin America, Europe and Asia Pacific.
As for the specifications, the Moto C Plus sports a 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) display. The phone is powered by a 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6737 quad-core processor paired with 1GB or 2GB of RAM. The device comes with 16GB inbuilt storage, which is expandable up to 32GB via microSD card. It runs Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box. The design language in both the smartphones looks similar.
In terms of imaging, the Moto C Plus features an 8-megapixel rear camera with f/2.2 aperture, autofocus and LED flash At front, it has a 2-megapixel camera for selfies. The Moto C Plus packs a big 4000mAh removable battery and Motorola claims that the battery in the new handset will last for up to 30 hours on a single charge. It will also ship with 10W rapid charger for quick charging support. Connectivity options on the phone include- Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth and 3.5mm headphone jack. Similar to the Moto C smartphone, the company is expected to bring dual-SIM 4G VoLTE Moto C Plus variant in India. The smartphone was initially launched with a starting price of €119 (roughly Rs. 8,500).
Interestingly, a Moto event for June 27 cropped up on the Internet yesterday, and it seems the widely rumoured smartphone Moto Z2 might likely be unveiled given the poster showed off a device sporting a dual rear camera.
