After several leaks and rumours revealing the aspects of the new Moto C lineup, Motorola has finally confirmed the launch plan of this entry level smartphones. The company in a blog post claimed that both Moto C and Moto C Plus will be made available this spring in parts of Asia, Europe and Latin America.
“Find everything you’re looking for in an essential smartphone with the new Moto C and Moto C Plus – two affordable devices packed with features that give new smartphone users the battery life, performance and speed they need,” Motorola wrote in its blog post.
Motorola officially said that the new Moto C phone will feature a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 2-megapixel front facing camera. The phone will carry a 2350mAh battery and will be available in four different colours- Metallic Cherry, Pearl White, Fine Gold and Starry Black. The company, however, noted that the colour options will vary depending on the region and channel. Motorola confirming the entry-level Moto C to be available in two variants said that the Moto C 3G version with 1GB RAM and 8GB storage will be sold for €89 (roughly Rs. 6,300) while the 4G version with same RAM/onboard storage will cost €99 (around Rs. 7,000). The phone will be powered by a quadcore processor presumably a MediaTek chispet. The Moto C is also expected to run Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box. As per earlier reports, the device is said to sport a 5-inch FWVGA (854×480 resolution) display.
Following the bigger variant of the Moto C lineup, Motorola has announced that the Moto C Plus pricing will start at €119 (roughly Rs. 8,500) for 1GB RAM/16GB storage version. The phone will sport an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 2-megapixel front facing camera for selfies. The phone will offer a big display and a massive 4000mAh battery. Motorola says that the battery in the new Moto C Plus will last for up to 30 hours on a single charge. The phone will come with dual-SIM and microSD card support as well. Like the base variant, Moto C, the Moto C Plus will be available in several colours- Cherry White, Gold and Black. Reports earlier cited that the Moto C Plus will feature 5-inch display with 1280×720 resolution. It will be powered by a 1.3GHz MediaTek processor and run Android 7.0 Nougat.
Apparently will launch a slew of smartphones this year under the Moto E, Moto G, Moto X, Moto Z, targeting different consumers.
