Xiaomi recently launched the MIUI 9 globally and promised its customers that all the smartphones from the company since 2012 will be getting the update. However, Xiaomi on Monday in a blog post said that they are going to suspend the roll-out of MIUI 9 beta (both public and closed) for six of its smartphones. In the blog post, the company also stated that the MIUI 9 ROM will be the last update each of these six smartphones will be seeing. The devices are listed below:
However, if you have any of these smartphones and have already updated to the MIUI beta version, Xiaomi will still let you install a stable ROM of MIUI 9 on your device. But that will be the last update these phones will receive from Xiaomi. You will have to keep an eye out on Xiaomi’s forums for instructions about flashing your smartphones. The company has shared the reasons behind this decision as:
“To ensure the best performance of MIUI, we have to make a tough decision of suspending the update of 6 devices after a long-time discussion and evaluation about the release time of devices, active users, hardware performance, etc.,”

As of now, we know that the company will be gradually rolling out the final version of MIUI 9 from December 2017 to January 2018. The Mi Mix 2 and the Redmi Note 4 have already received the MIUI 9 update in India.
