Honor 6A, the company’s affordable smartphone has been launched in Europe. The company first unveiled Honor 6A in China a couple of months ago. Now that the company has started making the phone available outside of China, expectations are on the rise that it may arrive in others markets as well. Currently, the device is available in France and China. Concerning internals, the phone announced in Europe is somewhat different than its Chinese counterpart and comes as an addition to the company’s existing Honor 6 line.

Honor 6A announced in Europe is a toned down variant of the original phone. Previously, Honor globally announced two new handsets in the current lineup: Honor 6C and Honor 6X. Among all Honor 6 series handsets available out there, Honor 6A is the most affordable handset. Talking about the design, the phone boasts of a metal unibody. It comes in two memory options: 2GB of RAM with 16GB of storage and 3GB of RAM with 32GB of storage. The device sports a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner below the protruding camera lens.

Honor 6A comes in a single, base variant in Europe. As for specifications, it sports a 5-inch 720p HD display with 2.5D curved glass layered on top. The phone runs Android Nougat along with custom Emotion UI (EMUI) 5.1 on top. Powering the smartphone is a Snapdragon 430 eight cores SoC, out of which four cores are ticking at 1.2GHz while other four at 1GHz. Accompanying the processor is Adreno 505 GPU to handle graphics.

As for photography, the device houses a 13-megapixel rear shooter backed by a wide-angle lens, LED flash, and f/2.0 aperture. The camera further accompanies features such as Phase Detection Autofocus (PDAF), Panorama, and HDR. Up front, there is a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. The phone packs in a 3,020mAh battery under the hood and offers connectivity options such as Wi-Fi, 4G, Bluetooth 4.1, and microUSB 2.0 port. It is available in multiple colour options such as silver, gold, and grey.

Honor 6A comes at the price of EUR 169, which converts roughly at Rs 12,497.
