Microsoft launched the Xbox One X 1TB gaming console in India this week. The new home video game console has arrived in the country for a price of Rs 44,990. Prospective buyers can head to e-commerce platforms like Amazon or Flipkart to grab the Xbox One X. They can buy it in offline stores as well including Landmark, Croma, Microsoft India store and over 100 gaming speciality stores in India.
Touted to be the world’s most powerful console, the Xbox One X integrates 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray player to deliver immersive 4K gaming experience for the fanatics. The console is built with the power to ‘drive native 4K resolution’, high dynamic range and offer wide colour gamut.
A strong rival of the Sony PS4 Pro, the Xbox One X debuted globally on November 7 last year. While the arrival in India is a bit late, gamers will at least have a good shot to try out over a hundred games that are optimised for this new gaming console.
Microsoft in its blog mentioned that more than 80 new and existing games are enhanced to take full advantage of its power. Besides Assassin’s Creed Origins, gamers can now get their hands on the hack & slack game Middle-Earth: Shadow of War, Halo Wars 2, Final Fantasy XV, Forza Motorsport 7, Gears of War 4, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG), Halo 5: Guardians, Minecraft, FIFA 18, Star Wars Battlefront II and Super Lucky’s Tale.
The new Xbox console supports 2160p resolution with a powerful processor and is said to provide just the right horse-power to run visual rich and intense games. The console claims to offer enhanced texture, smooth frame rates to play games better on 1080p TV as well.
While PS4 Pro limited availability in India was a bit of a letdown, the advent of the Xbox One X will be a good pat for the obstinate gamers. To take the lead on the gaming block, Microsoft even introduced Xbox Game Pass program which is a Netflix-style subscription program that brings an array of games for $10 a month.
