In what could be a good news for all Microsoft Surface fans in India, the company’s 2-in-one detachable Surface Book 2 will soon arrive in India later in 2018. The device is now available for pre-order in 17 new countries including Australia, France, Germany and the United Kingdom. In an official blog post, Microsoft said that they will start rolling out 13-inch and 15-inch models of Surface Book 2 in India some time later this year.
On-paper, the set of specifications appear promising in terms of processing and graphics, courtesy of the latest 8th generation Intel Core Processors and Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050/1060 graphics. So users may not face any major issues when it comes to graphic-intensive applications, games and Windows Mixed Reality experiences. However, we cannot be more certain about it without putting it through our standard tests ourselves.
One of the many other interesting angles involved here has to be its support for Surface Pen. It supports 4096 levels of pressure sensitivity for inking and Surface Dial on-screen. In terms of its design, given that it’s 2-in-1 detachable device, it can be used either like a laptop or a tablet.
Microsoft Surface Book 2 claims to delivers up to 17 hours of battery life on a single change. Similarly, the graphics performance is said to be five times better than the original Surface Book.
Recently at CES 2018, Lenovo unveiled its Miix 630 2-in-1 laptop in partnership with Microsoft and Qualcomm. Its focus remains on connectivity, and it apparently competes with the likes of Asus NovaGo. Lenovo Miix 630 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 Mobile PC platform and Windows 10S operating system.
