Micromax today launched the Selfie 3 smartphone in India. It is the successor to the Selfie 2 launched back in July. Micromax has priced the Selfie 3 at Rs. 11,999 and will be available across India through offline retail stores from today. Currently, the company has released it in two colour variants – Black and Blue. The USP of the device is its 16-megapixel front camera sensor made by Samsung.
The front 16-megapixel camera is accompanied by a selfie flash which the company says will help users take much more natural images than a regular flash. The company also boasts that they have added a beauty mode for the front camera. On the back, we get to see a 13-megapixel Sony sensor along with an LED flash.
“The device supports Auto Scene Detection which analyses the type of scene and shooting conditions you’re photographing and then automatically provides the users with options to select the best settings. It also has Portrait mode, HDR Mode, Night Mode that will make your each photo perfect in any mode,”

As for the specifications, the Micromax Selfie 3 runs on Google’s Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box. It features a 5-inch full HD display. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 chipset. It comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. As for the connectivity, It comes with 4G, VoLTE support, Wi-Fi, GPS, and Bluetooth 4.2. All of this is powered by a 3,000mAh battery.
