Meizu, the Chinese consumer electronics company officially announced its new smartphone Meizu E2 in China today. The handset is launched in storage variants- 3GB RAM+32GB storage variant priced at 1299 Yuan (roughly Rs. 12,070), and 4GB RAM+64GB storage model which comes at a cost of 1599 Yuan (around Rs. 14,870). Pre-order for the smartphone starts today and the sale will kick off in the home country from April 29. The company has not shared any official word on whether it will launch the smartphone outside China.
Talking about the specifications, the new Meizu E2 from the ‘E’ series features a 5.5-inch full-HD (1920×1080 resolution) display with 2.5D arc glass on top. The phone is powered by an Octa-Core MediaTek Helio P20 processor clocked at 2.35 GHz. The hybrid dual-SIM Meizu E2 runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Flyme OS 6.0 layered on top of it.The device has an mTouch fingerprint sensor located underneath the home button. The volume rockers and the power button is located on the right side.
As for the optics, the Meizu E2 has a 13-megapixel rear sensor with 4-LED dual-tone flash that sits in the fine antenna lines at the top edge. The rear camera with Quad-LED is said to offer bright images in low light condition. At front, it has an 8-megapixel camera for selfies. The metal unibody Meizu E2 packs a 3400mAh battery and comes with fast charging support. Connectivity options on the phone include- 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n (2.4/5 GHz), Bluetooth 4.2 LE, GPS, GLONASS. It measures 153.7 x 75.7 x 7.5mm and weighs 155gram. The new Meizu E2 will available in China in three colour options- Black, Moonlight Silver and Champagne Gold.
