Meizu is all set to launch its new smartphone in China this month. The Chinese consumer electronics company has already sent press invites for the announcement of the new smartphone from the ‘E’ series, the Meizu E2.
The press invite displayed on Meizu’s ‘Blue Charm’ Weibo page reveal the inscription ‘E2’ suggesting it to be the Meizu E2. The launch event is scheduled to take place at Beijing Performing Arts Center on April 26 at 3pm China time, as per the invite.
Evidently last month a smartphone with the model name ‘Meizu M612C’ was spotted on the Chinese certification website, TENAA, and reports suggest that this could be the Meizu E2 smartphone.
According to the TENAA listing, the Meizu E2 with model number ‘M612C’ is tipped to be powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor. The smartphone is suggested to come in three storage variants- 2GB of RAM with 16GB of internal storage, 3GB of RAM with 32GB of internal memory and 4GB of RAM with 64GB internal storage variant.
Further, Meizu M612C is said to sport a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front facing camera for selfies. The device will run Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Rumours also suggest that the new handset will come with fingerprint sensor located on the home button itself and feature a metal unibody design.
The Meizu E2 is expected to sport a 5.2-inch HD(1280×720 resolution) display, and pack a battery of 2930mAh with fast charging support alongside. The smartphone is also tipped to come in three colour variants- Grey, Gold and Rose Gold.
The official details on the new smartphone has not been outed yet, however, Li Nan, Meizu VP hinting on the design promised a smartphone presumably the Meizu E2 will come with an ‘innovative, attractive design’.
