When the LG V30 was launched back in N0vember, the company promised to update it to the latest Android 8.0 Oreo. It seems like the company has started to deliver on its promise. A few SK Telecom units of the LG V300S have already started to receive the Android 8.0 Oreo software update. Meanwhile, the handset variants available globally are still running on Android Nougat build.

The US variants of the LG V30 may receive the update pretty soon. A user posted a few screenshots of his LG V30 US998 version running on Android 8.0 Oreo on mylgphones.com. Currently, the update doesn’t seem to be available over-the-air (OTA) yet, and it seems like the user has received the update files through other means.
