LG today during IFA 2017 held in Berlin officially launched its much anticipated LG V30 smartphone. This is the successor to the last years LG V20 smartphone. The main attraction of the smartphone is that it features a 6-inch POLED display. LG will start selling the devices on September 21 in South Korea which will be followed by North America, Europe, Asia, Middle East and Africa. The LG V30 comes in four colour options Aurora Black, Cloud Silver, Moroccan Blue and Lavender Violet. The company has not yet declared the price of the V30, we will update you whenever the company does so. Along with the LG V30, the company also launched the V30+ which is identical in specifications except for the inbuilt storage. The LG V30+ will only be available in select markets.
LG V30 Specifications
The LG V30 sports a 6-inch quad HD+ POLED FullVision display with an aspect ratio of 18:9 similar to the company’s flagship, the LG G6. LG during the launch claimed that the phone weighs 158g which makes it the lightest 6-inch smartphone in the world. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset. It features 4GB of RAM along with 64GB of internal storage expandable up to 2TB via microSD card. The LG V30+ has similar specifications with the exception of 128GB internal storage instead of 64GB of internal storage. Both the devices run on Google’s Android 7.1.2 Nougat operating system and are Google Daydream ready.

As for the camera, the LG V30 comes with a dual camera setup on the back with a 16-megapixel standard angle camera sensor paired with a 13-megapixel wide-angle camera sensor. On the front, the V30 comes with a 5-megapixel sensor with a f/2.2 aperture. Both the phones are backed by a 3,300mAh non-removable battery.
As for connectivity, the phone features Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0 USB Type-C 2.0, and NFC. The phone also comes with IP68 water and dust resistance rating, Google Assistant support, Voice and face recognition, fingerprint sensor, and support for Quick Charge 3.0 and wireless charging.
