LG Q6 is all set to announce in India next week. It will be available to purchase exclusively via Amazon India starting August 10. If you recall, LG Q6 was first announced last month along with LG Q6 Plus and LG Q6a. Although LG did not reveal prices of its Q6 smartphones globally, the device is expected to cost somewhere around Rs 19,000 in the Indian market.
Design-wise, LG G6 flaunts a full metal unibody, measuring 8.1mm in thickness and weighing 149g. Specs-wise, it sports a 5.5-inch Full Vision display with 18:9 aspect ratio similar to LG G6 (Review) and Samsung Galaxy S8 duo, featuring a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels and 442 ppi pixel density. Internally, there is a Snapdragon 435 octa-core SoC in addition to 3GB of RAM and Adreno 505 GPU for graphics.
LG Q6 offers 32GB of internal storage, which if found insufficient can expand further by means of a dedicated microSD card slot. The biggest disappoint, LG Q6 lacks fingerprint scanner of any kind, which is surprising given that phones that cost less than Rs 10,000 also offer fingerprint scanner. LG Q6 features face recognition and KnockCode for security. The dual-SIM phone runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat software out-of-the-box.
Instead the dual cameras to that of LG G6, it houses a single 13-megapixel rear shooter. Up front, there is a 5-megapixel wide-angle secondary shooter for selfies and video calls. The device with 3,000mAh battery is set to go on sale in a variety of colour options such as Astro Black, Ice Platinum, and Terra Gold. On the connectivity front, it offers 4G with VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.2, and microUSB 2.0 with OTG support.
