It houses a 12MP Purecel Plus sensor and a 5MP depth sensor combined to produce bokeh effects. Lenovo boasted a lot about the camera during the event which has to be the main selling point of the device.
The Lenovo K8 Plus runs stock Android 7.1.1 Nougat similar to the Lenovo K8 Note. So, it comes with Google Assistant pre-installed on the device. The device is powered by a 2.6GHz MediaTek Helio P25 SoC based on 16nm process combining Mali-T880 GPU for graphics and 3GB of RAM. Furthermore, the dual-SIM phone consists 32GB of internal storage, which is expandable up to 128GB via a dedicated memory card slot. So, customers can make use two nano SIM cards and a microSD card at the same time.
On the connectivity front, the Lenovo K8 Plus comes with USB OTG support. Additionally, it offers 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth, GPS, and more. It also offers an 8MP secondary camera up front for selfies and video calls. The K8 Plus sports a 5.2-inch display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection and oleophobic coating to get rid of smudges and fingerprints. The phone flaunts a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner which sits right below the dual camera unit. The K8 Plus similar to K6 Power comes with Dolby Atmos surround sound to offer immersive multimedia experience. Last but not least, the Lenovo K8 Plus promises up to two days of battery life by means of a 4,000mAh battery. It’s available in two colour options: Black and Gold. Lenovo also promised Android 8.0 Oreo update on the K8 Plus.
