Homegrown handset maker Karbonn Mobiles adds a new phone to its existing smartphone portfolio: Karbonn Yuva 2. Karbonn apparently promotes it as a youth-oriented device and highlights some aspects like display, design and camera. The company is due to reveal price and availability details of the smartphone, though.

A quick rundown of Karbonn Yuva 2’s specifications reveal a 5-inch HD screen featuring 1,280 x 720 pixels resolution and 294 ppi pixel density. Internally, powering the handset is a 1.25GHz quad-core processor, 2GB RAM and 16GB of expandable storage (up to 128GB). However, there is no mention of the exact chipset lying under the hood.

The dual-SIM handset runs Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. So users get built-in Google Assistant to interact with the device. As far as photography is concerned, it houses a 5MP rear camera with LED flash. Up front is a 3.2MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls.

Design-wise, Karbonn Yuva 2 flaunts a brushed metal finish. It measures 9.6 mm in thickness and weighs 170 g. It supports 4G with VoLTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Hotspot and Micro USB 2.0. It comes in multiple colour options like Black, Blue and Champagne.

Although Karbonn is yet to reveal price and availability of Yuva 2, we are expecting it to cost not more than Rs 7,000. But it remains to be seen how things work out for Karbonn in the end.

Previously, Karbonn and Airtel together announced two entry-level smartphones to compete with Reliance JioPhone: Karbonn A1 Indian and Karbonn A41 Power.
