Intex today launched two new shatterproof smartphones Aqua Lions X1 and X1+ in India ahead of Diwali. According to Intex, both the devices belong to the company’s new shatterproof series, which is expected to launch more such smartphones in the future. As Intex suggests, the selling point of these handsets is their shatterproof display with one-time one-year accidental screen replacement warranty. Intex Aqua Lions X1 costs Rs 7,499 whereas X1+, on the other hand, costs Rs 8,499. The actual sale starts this Diwali via both offline and online channels.
Starting with Intex Aqua Lions X1, it sports a 5.2-inch HD IPS display protected by a shatterproof glass. It runs Android Nougat and carries a 2,800mAh battery under the hood. Internally, there’s a 2GB of RAM and 16GB storage, which is further expandable up to 128GB by means of a microSD support. It houses a 13MP main camera with flash and a 5MP selfie camera with flash. Intex Aqua Lions X1+, on the other hand, appears to be the older counterpart of X1. It carries all the similar specifications as X1 except for the fact that it runs on 3GB of RAM.
Commenting on the launch, Intex director Nidhi Markanday, had this to say: “The shatterproof series, Aqua Lions X1 and Aqua Lions X1+, is our latest tech marvel, a symbol of style, strength and performance for the ubiquitous users and the market. For this Diwali, we have brought out a complete package having all the right features – 3GB RAM, fingerprint sensor, big battery and latest OS for the tech-savvy consumers. We are sure the shatterproof series will give consumers stress-free handling of their smartphone and will be a delight for all.”
