Following the ‘go live with a friend’ feature rollout, Instagram has now pushed a new update celebrating Halloween. The update brings a new camera feature that record videos and automatically zooms in adding a dramatic effect.
The Superzoom feature can be accessed by tapping the record button. You will see the Superzoom icon next to the Boomerang option. Tap the icon to record videos with automatical zoom and suspenseful music.
“You can make a Superzoom of anything — your selfie, your friend’s goofy face or even your half-eaten sandwich. As always, you can send your video to your friends on Instagram Direct or add it to your story,” the online photo-sharing app wrote in its official blog post.
Besides the Superzoom camera, Instagram has also added Halloween face filters and stickers. These filters include a zombie, vampire transforming your face into a bat, sinister fog. It also brings a wide range of stickers from Halloween pumpkin to zombie’s hands.
“Whether you’re planning spooky activities with friends or just hanging out at home, get into the Halloween spirit by turning yourself into a zombie, transforming from a vampire into a flying bat or getting lost in a mysterious fog. You can also add Halloween stickers to your photos and videos as a final touch,” says Instagram.
These Halloween related filters and stickers will be available from November 1. While these face filters, stickers looks exciting, it might another move by Instagram to arch against Snapchat. The update will be available on Instagram version 20.0 in the iOS and Android platform.
