The Chinese tech company, Huawei has launched an upgrade version of the Huawei Y6 (2017), the Huawei Y6 Pro (2017). The new Huawei smartphone has been silently introduced in Europe for a price of around EUR 189 which translates at approx. Rs. 14,450 after conversion. The phone is listed on e-retail site Amazon.
The all-new Huawei Y6 Pro (2017) carries just a few upgrades compared to the Y6 (2017). The handset flaunts a metal body instead of a plastic one found in the Y6 (2017). While the original model came equipped with MediaTek MT6737T processor under the hood, the Y6 Pro (2017) now packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 chipset.
As far as the specifications are concerned, the Huawei Y6 Pro (2017) it features a 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) IPS display. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 (MSM8917) SoC paired with 2GB of RAM. The phone comes with 16GB native storage which can be further expanded.
Design-wise, it boasts a metal body with antenna lines running on top and bottom of the rear panel. It offers a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor which is located in the centre. The primary camera along with the flash module sits above the top antenna line. The volume keys are placed above the power button on the right edge. The SIM slot is forked on the left side. The speaker grills are drilled at the base with Micro-USB port being placed in the middle.
On the imaging front, the Y6 Pro (2017) carries a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera for selfies The dual-SIM (nano) Huawei Y6 Pro (2017) runs company’s own EMUI 5.1 skin based Android 7.0 Nougat. The new Huawei device packs a 3020mAh battery non-removable battery. Connectivity options on the phone include- Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS/ A-GPS, Glonass,It measures 143.5x71x8.05mm, and weighs 145 grams. It will be available in three colour options- Black, Golden, and Silver.
The smartphone will start selling in Germany, Italy and France and will slowly be rolled out in all the markets in Europe in coming weeks.
