A fine-tuned craftsmanship with a perfect blend of revolutionary optics and sleek design is what Huawei’s sub-brand Honor mete out for its Honor admirers. For instance, the Honor 8, Honor 6x offers premium feel at an affordable budget. Following the trend, the Chinese tech company has unveiled its latest flagship smartphone, the Honor V9, which is said to pack some amazing specs inside the box. The new device comes with a thin metal chassis a remarkable feature seen in most of the Honor devices. the image exhibits neat antenna lines running across the top and bottom of the aluminum rear panel.
The Honor V9 sports a 5.7-inch 1440p LTPS LCD display with 2.5D glass shield. The on-screen buttons on the device are pitched close together. The phone runs on the much improved EMUI 5.0 skin layered atop Android 7.0 Nougat.
Under the hood, the Honor V9 packs a powerful octa-core Kirin 960, which is paired with 4GB/6GB RAM. The company is bringing two storage variants for the Honor V9 model, a 64GB of storage that comes with the 4GB RAM variant, meanwhile the 6GB RAM variant packs either 64GB or 128GB. There is microSD expansion slot as well.
On the rear panel, Huawei tote the traditional dual camera setup with 12megapixel camera module. It house an improved secondary monochrome sensor that supposedly deliver three times more light. The Honor V9 features a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, a single multicolored LED flash.
The bottom of the phone, as the image shows is punched with a USB 2.0 Type-C port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, microphone and a single speaker grill at the bottom. The image also demonstrates thickness of the Honor V9 phone which is 6.97 slim. The phone is pegged with a massive 4000mAh battery. Touting the V9 to be the first smartphone that can function 3D modeling, Huawei claims that the smartphone is capable of capturing 3D photos, which makes it able to create 3D prints as well.
In terms of pricing, the 4GB with 64GB storage variant is said to retail at 2599 yuan (roughly Rs. 25,300), while the 6GB/64GB model comes for 2999 yuan (around Rs. 29200), and the 6GB with 128GB inbuilt storage model costs for 3499 yuan (approximately Rs. 34, 050). The Honor V9 is available in black, gold, blue, and a new red colour option.
The V9 will go on sale in China at TMall, JD, and Suning next week on February 28. However, there’s no word as on when the device will hit the shelves globally.
