It is being said that Huawei is soon going to launch an Honor branded dual camera smartphone in India. Reports also point to the fact that the device will be sporting a bezel-less display. It seems as if the alleged smartphone might be the Maimang 6 that was recently launched in China. The company on its official social media handles ran a contest named ‘See Yourself With 2 Eyes’ which points to the fact that the device might feature a dual camera setup on the front for selfies.
IANS reported that the new Honor branded smartphone will come with four cameras in total. If this report is true then the smartphone will feature a dual camera setup in the front as well as the back. However, we currently don’t know much about this smartphone.
All Honor smartphones currently use a Monochrome + RGB sensor to achieve the dual camera setup which is also the same that is being expected to be used inside this alleged smartphone. The Huawei Maimang 6 comes with a 13-megapixel + 2-megapixel sensor for the selfie camera and 16-megapixel + 2-megapixel sensor for the primary camera.
The Maimang 6 features a 5.9-inch Full HD Edge-to-Edge display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by the octa-core Kirin 659 processor and features 4GB of RAM along with 64GB of internal storage expandable via microSD card. This alleged smartphone is being said to be a toned down version of the Huawei Maimang making it a mid-range device positioned below the Honor 8.
The Maimang is currently priced at CNY 2,399 (Roughly Rs. 23,742) in China. Honor is said to be launching the device around Diwali at a similar price point.
