Huawei recently launched three AI-centric smartphones, the Mate 10, Mate 10 Pro and the Mate 10 Porsche Design. Today the company silently launched the Mate 10 Lite in Europe. It comes with a bezel-less display design and four cameras. Interestingly, it doesn’t focus on AI like the other three devices in the Mate 10 series. The smartphone is priced at 399 Euros (approximately Rs. 30,500), however, the Honor 9i with similar specifications currently sells in India at Rs. 17,999. The Mate 10 Lite will go on sale in Germany starting November and will be available in three colour options – Graphite Black, Aurora Blue and Prestige Gold.
As for the specifications, the smartphone sports a 5.9-inch full-screen full HD+ display with an aspect ratio of 18:9. It is powered by the company’s own Kirin 659 processor. It comes with 4GB of RAM along with 64GB of internal storage. It runs on Google’s Android 7.0 Nougat operating system with EMUI 5.1 skin on top and is backed by a 3,430mAh battery which the company claims will make the device last for two days with normal usage on a single charge.
As for the camera, the device comes with a total of four cameras, two on the front and two on the back. At the rear, the device comes with a 16-megapixel primary sensor along with a 2-megapixel secondary sensor. On the front, we get to see a 13-megapixel primary sensor along with a 2-megapixel secondary sensor for selfies. Both the front and the rear camera modules allow users to take images with the depth of feel effect.
