HTC is going to hold an event on November 2 where it will be launching a new U-series smartphone. As per the reports, the company will be launching the bigger variant of its current flagship smartphone HTC U11. It is being said that this new device will come under the moniker HTC U11 Plus. The company in a recent tweet confirmed that the new smartphone launching on November 2 will sport a bezel-less display. Additionally, the famous tipster Evan Blass today posted a tweet stating that the new HTC U11 Plus will come in Silver, Black and Translucent colour options. He followed up on this tweet by making another tweet stating “I highly doubt ‘Translucent’ will be a see-through back. My guess is it will be a kind of depth colour effect.” This might point to the shiny blue colour of the HTC U11 Plus we previously saw in leaked renders.

The HTC U11 Plus last month showed up on Geekbench where it was revealed that the smartphone will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor. It is also expected that the company will launch two RAM variants of the U11 Plus – one with 4GB of RAM along with 64GB of internal storage and the other with 8GB of RAM along with 128GB of internal storage. Additionally, the smartphone is expected to come running on Google’s Android 8.0 Oreo operating system with HTC’s Sense UI on top of it. The device could come with both Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant similar to the HTC U11.

It is being said that the smartphone will come with a 6-inch display with an aspect ratio of 18:9 and could drop the 3.5mm audio jack in favour of its USonic earbuds. It is also expected to feature the Edge Sense feature which was first seen in the HTC U11, which was also the first ever squeezable smartphone.
