HTC has unveiled its latest smartphone in Taiwan, the HTC U11 EYEs. The key features of the smartphone are its dual front camera and Face Unlocking capabilities. The HTC U11 EYEs has been priced at NT$14,900 (Approximately Rs 32,000) and is available for purchase right now. The company is currently offering it in three colour variants – Sunny red, Hyun blue silver, Goggles black. As of now, we don’t know if or when the device will be brought to India.
As for the specifications, the HTC U11 sports a 6-inch full HD+ Super LCD 3 display with a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels. Additionally, the display also features Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection on top. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage expandable up to 2TB via microSD card. HTC has also added the edge sense feature to this smartphone which we first saw in the HTC U11. All of this is backed by a 3,930mAh non-removable battery with support for Quick Charge 3.0.
The company has also gone ahead and added the Face Unlocking feature on this device, which many companies have been providing with their latest smartphones. The HTC U11 EYEs also comes with an IP67 water and dust resistance rating.
As for the camera, the HTC U11 EYEs features a 12-megapixel UltraPixel 3 camera with an aperture of f/1.7 on the rear. The primary camera comes with features like Ultraspeed Autofocus, Optical Image Stabilisation, 4K video recording, and can record full HD slow-motion video at 120 frames per second. On the front, we get to see a dual camera setup, both of which sport 5-megapixel sensors along with an aperture of f/2.2.
