HTC’s upcoming flagship have been making rounds on the Internet almost every day now. With reports recently claiming that the new smartphone won’t feature an audio jack and instead come with a headphone adapter, a freshly leaked render video has now revealed the alleged HTC U 11 from all angles.
The render video of the new HTC device is posted by 91Mobiles in close collaboration with the reliable leakster Onleaks. The render unveils an HTC device with smooth round edges. And just like the premium flagship devices of the year, the new HTC phone appears to have a nearly bezel-less display. The phone is seen featuring a glossy red hue on the back similar to the HTC U Ultra glossy blue liquid surface. The volume rockers and the power button are located on the right edge. On the top, there’s a slotted mic hole and SIM slot tray. While, at the bottom edge, we see the USB Type-C port and the speaker grills. On the rear side, it shows the primary camera with a round ring and LED flash. And at the front, there’s the selfie camera and the fingerprint sensor that sits underneath the home button.
Notably, the alleged HTC U 11 will be the third smartphone from HTC U line up after the HTC U Ultra and HTC U Play that were launched in January this year. Rumours earlier have suggested that the upcoming flagship from HTC will feature a 5.5-inch QUAD HD display and Qualcomm’s next generation chipset, Snapdragon 835. It will likely sport a 12-megapixel rear camera and a 16-megapixel front facing camera.
The highlight of the new HTC smartphone is said to be its ‘squeezable display’ which will enable the user to input touch gestures and control different actions. The alleged HTC U 11 is tipped to come in five colours and run HTC Sense 9 based Android Nougat 7.1.1 Nougat. The phone will reportedly come in two variants- 4GB RAM+64GB storage and 6GB RAM+128GB storage. Besides, the new HTC U 11 is said to carry a 3000mAh battery, support Quick Charge 3.0 technology and will come with water and dust resistant as well.
HTC had already sent invites for its upcoming smartphone’s launch which is scheduled to take place in Taipei on May 16.
