HTC’s has started rolling out Android 7.0 Nougat update for HTC One A9 unlocked version. Mo Versi, the vice president of product management at HTC announced on Twitter that HTC has started rolling out Android Nougat update Android Nougat update. Confirming the update, Versi in his Twitter account posted, “HTC One A9 Unlocked Owners! We have received technical approval on the Nougat OS update, and OTA will begin tonight!”
The company at the HTC One A9 launch claimed that every Android update will be rolled on to the smartphone within 15 days of Nexus smartphones receiving it. However, HTC was not able to keep its promise even though Nexus phones did receive the Nougat update in August last year.
A leak report from the popular HTC tipster LIabTooFeR revealed that HTC 10 users who didn’t receive the Nougat update in the initial roll out will receive the update as the company has been tipped to resume its update roll out within three weeks.
The HTC One A9 sports a 5-inch display with a 1920×1080 resolution. It has a pixel density of 441ppi. The device is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor clocked at 1.2GHz. It packs 3GB of RAM paired with 32GB internal storage (expandable up to 200GB via microSD card). The phone house a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 4-megapixel camera on the front.
The HTC One A9 runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. It is backed by a 2150mAh non-removable battery. the phone measures 145.80 x 70.80 x 7.30 and weighs 143.00 grams. The phone which comes for a price of Rs 24,495 was launched in December 2015.
