Taiwanese smartphone giant HTC is now reportedly working on a mid-range smartphone currently called Ocean Life. LlabTooFeR, a leaker on Twitter has shared some useful information related to the upcoming HTC mid-range smartphone. According to the leaks, the smartphone will be powered by the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC (System-on-Chip) and will feature a 5.2-inch Full-HD display. It will pack a 16-megapixel camera at the rear with a LED Flash. Upfront there will be another 16-megapixel camera for taking selfies or making video calls. The phone will be backed by a 2,600 mAh battery and will Android 7.1.1 Nougat out-of-the-box with their own HTC Sense 9.0 layered on the top.
Being a mid-range device, the company might decide to include flagship features of the HTC U11 such as Edge Sense technology. This feature was introduced with the company’s latest flagship, the HTC U11. This feature allows you to open an app by just squeezing your smartphone. As per the reports, the new upcoming mid-ranger by HTC will also include a pair of USonic earphones inside the box, which have active noise cancellation and the ability to fine tune audio to your ear through “advanced sonar-like technology.”
However, there is no word on when HTC will officially launch the device or the price tag it will bear when it hits store shelves. If the leaks are true and we get a mid-range device like this from HTC for an affordable price, it could be the break HTC has been looking for in the last few years.
