HTC has been trying hard to claw its way back into significance over the last few years, but the company’s struggle with its public image has had little impact on their products. Today, the company has announced the availability of the HTC 10 Evo, the new flagship in the HTC lineup.

The HTC 10 Evo runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 paired with 3GB of RAM. While this combination might sound like it came from flagships of three years ago, the HTC 10 Evo brings multiple features that are flagship-grade in every way. First, the phone is water and dust resistant, and features a metal unibody design. We’ve spent plenty of time with HTC phones in the past and one thing that can be said is that their build quality is always top-notch. HTC 10 Evo also ditches the 3.5mm headphone jack and instead provides audio-out using the USB-C port at the bottom. HTC claims that the USB Type-C dual adaptive earphones that tailor sound to your ears’ unique hearing abilities for a truly illuminating audio experience. The company, however, doesn’t offer any clarity on how a pair of earphones achieves this.

Other specs of the phone include a 5.5-inch display covered by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 with a 2560×1440 resolution. In the imaging department, the phone sports a 16-megapixel rear camera with Optical Image Stabilization and an 8-megapixel front facing camera. There is 32GB of on-board storage, which can be expanded to 2TB shall the need ever arise.

HTC 10 evo also comes with the company’s BoomSound Adaptive Audio. The phone runs Android 7.0 Nougat with HTC Sense on top and dimensions are 153.59 x 77.3 x 3.7-8.09 mm; it weighs 174 g. This a 4G enabled smartphone with NFC, Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (2.4 & 5 GHz).

The HTV 10 evo is now available through HTC’s own online store for a price of Rs. 48990.
