HTC is all set to introduce the Desire 10 Pro smartphone in India. The Taiwanese smartphone company has already sent out invites for the smartphone launch event which will take place in New Delhi today. HTC in the invites has highlighted the words “latest innovation in sounds and camera” that connotes Desire 10 Pro’s high-resolution front and rear camera and  HTC BoomSound profile.

The HTC Desire 10 Pro was unveiled in London alongside the mid-range smartphone Desire 10 Lifestyle early in September. The Desire 10 Lifestyle which was released in India for Rs.15,900, the Pro Version has been tagged with a price by the company yet.

The HTC Desire 10 Pro and the Desire 10 Lifestyle exhibits the same design language. The Desire 10 Pro comes with iconic chamfered edge and matte finish body. With unique gold hued metallic outline on the rear and matte surface, HTC says that this simple elegance in design will bring good grip in hands for the user.

The HTC Desire 10 Pro however differs from the Desire 10 Lifestyle in terms of hardware. The Pro version sports a 5.5 inch full HD (1080×1920 resolution) display with a pixel density of 400ppi protected by Corning Gorilla Glass.

The dual nano sim smartphone supports HTC BoomSound and comes with dual microphone noise cancellation feature.

Inside the box, the phone is powered with MediaTek Helio P10 octa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz. The phone runs on Android  6.0 Marshmallow with HTC Sense UI on top of it. It comes with a 4GB RAM and 64 GB of internal storage which can be expanded upto 2TB via microSD.

The camera as the words in the invite claims is packed with 20mexapixel rear camera with laser focus, BSI sensor, f/2.2 aperture with 27.8mm focal length and Auto HDR mode. In its front the phone features a 13mexapixel camera with BSI sensor, f/2.2 aperture, Auto HDR mode and Voice selfie.

The phone supports 4G LTE with Band 40 which is mostly used by some Indian LTE networks. It also supports Cat 6 LTE which download up to 300 Mbps and upload up to 50 Mbps. Other connectivity options include Wifi 802.11 a/b/g/n(2,4 & 5 Ghz), Bluetooth 4.2, GPS/AGPS and NFS. In the sensor segment it has ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, compass sensor, sensor-hub, motion-G, gyro and magnetic sensor.

Powered with a battery backup of 3000 mAh battery, the Desire 10 pro is said to offer talktime up to 19 hours on 3G network. Under the standby mode the phone can run up to 20 days on 3G network and up to 18 days on  the 4G network.

The phone is available in four distinct color-Stone Black, Polar White, Royal Blue and Valentine Lux.
