Samsung Mobile India on their Facebook Page has started a competition, where they will be giving away a Samsung Galaxy S8 smartphone to one lucky winner. Samsung is calling the contest “#WantTheGalaxyS8”, and it will be running on July 24 from 11 AM until midnight. Samsung during this time period will be posting 5 GIFs which you will have a take a screenshot of as instructed and post the screenshot in the comments section of the post with an answer to the question Samsung will be posting on the post. Any Indian citizen over the age of 18 years who like the Samsung Mobile India page can participate in the contest, with the exceptions of Indian citizens living in the state of Tamil Nadu or any Samsung India’s employees, partners and affiliates.


The company will close the contest at midnight and will declare the winner on their Official Facebook Page on July 31. The winner will be contacted via an email asking for their PAN card and a photo identity proof to confirm the identity of the person. Samsung also at its own discretion can change the prize to anything with a similar value to the Galaxy S8. And surprisingly the product will be AS IS and the company can’t be held responsible for anything. Also, the winner will have to pay any taxes and shipping costs involved.

While the giveaway is a great opportunity for Samsung to gain PR points, you may want to read through the whole Terms and Conditions before putting in your time and participating in the event. The company also stated that if the winner doesn’t respond in the stipulated time or is ineligible, the prize would remain forfeited.
