Honor’s upcoming smartphone, the Honor V10 is due to make a global appearance, but the rumour mill has jumped the gun and revealed details as to when the handset is likely to launch in India.
According to a report from IANS, the all-new Honor V10 may arrive in India early next year. Recently, a teaser image on Honor’s Weibo account suggested the V10 may arrive in China on November 28. Honor is also hosting a launch event in London on December 5 where it is expected to announce the Honor V10.
As far as specifications are concerned, the V10 is expected to feature a 6-inch minimum bezels display with 18:9 aspect ratio. Some reports also suggest the device is likely to be powered by Huawei’s current flagship processor, Kirin 970.
The Kirin 970 is Huawei first AI-driven mobile platform based on 10nm architecture. It has 12-core Mali-G72 GPU and Neural Processing Unit. Huawei claims the processor provides 25x better performance and 50x more energy efficiency for AI-related tasks.
Further, the phone is rumoured in two storage options- 64GB and 128GB internal storage coupled with 6GB RAM. The dual rear unit on the rear is expected with 16MP and 20MP sensors. Up front, the handset is said to feature a 13-megapixel camera sensor.
In terms of software, Honor V10 will reportedly ship with Honor’s new custom skin EMUI 8.0 on top of Android 8.0 Oreo. It is expected to be a big battery phone with 4,000mAh battery and fast charging support under the hood. Honor V10 is tipped to cost 3000 Yuan (approximately Rs 29,500).
