Huawei-owned smartphone brand, Honor has recently sent out invites for an event it will be hosting in London on December 5. The company is expected to launch the Honor V10 smartphone at the event. As per recent reports, the Honor V10 is expected to come with a full-screen display along with a dual camera setup on the back. Currently, not much is known about the specifications of the smartphone. However, we expect more details to follow near the launch.
It is expected, that the Honor V10 could be a phablet featuring a 6-inch full-screen display with 2.5D curved glass, due to the invite stating “Max your view”. It could be powered by the company’s own Kirin 970 chipset.
The Kirin 970 SoC is the company’s first Artificial Intelligence based mobile chipset. The alleged smartphone could take advantage of this chipset to enhance images in a similar way to the recently launched Oppo F5.
The Huawei Kirin 970 chipset is based on the 10nm technology, and comes with a 12-core Mali -G72 GPU along with a Neural Processing Unit. This chipset was specifically designed for smartphones which could take advantage of AI. The company claims that the Kirin 970 SoC is 25x better in performance compared to four Cortex-A37 cores, they also claim that it provides 50x more energy efficiency for AI-related tasks.
Recently, Honor launched its first bezel-less display smartphone, the Honor 9i in India. It is priced at Rs. 17,999 and comes dual cama setup both on the front and the back.
