Huawei’s sub-brand Honor unwrapped its flagship smartphone Honor 9 last month. While the company had introduced 4GB RAM variant of the Honor 9, it has now brought a new model, that pegs in more storage. Honor has announced the Honor 9 Premium in Europe which is equipped with 6GB of RAM and 128GB storage.
According to German website Winfuture.de, the Honor 9 Premium has been officially introduced in Italy and the smartphone is said to be available for purchase exclusively through Tre and 3 carriers. The handset is up for pre-order in Switzerland as well and it will ship by the end of August.
The Honor 9 is a premium device from Honor’s smartphone inventory that boasts a sleek design, and impressive features. The Honor 9 Premium though might sound an enhanced version of this flagship, keeping the RAM/ROM aside, rest of the hardware and software internals remains the same. The Honor 9 Premium has a 5.15-inch full HD display and is powered by Kirin 960 processor. The handset is beefed up by a 3,200mAh battery. It features Honor’s ‘signature’ dual-camera arrangement, a 20-megapixel sensor for monochrome and other with 12-megapixel sensor for RGB. The camera is also equipped with hybrid zoom and comes with Bokeh effect.
In terms of design, it follows the same design cue as the Honor 9 with curved edges, a metal frame and a reflective rear panel. At front, the home button embeds the fingerprint sensor. As for the pricing, the Honor 9 Premium is said to be only €50 more expensive that the standard model which comes for a price at around €450 (roughly Rs. 33,000). While the premium version of Honor’s new flagship will be making its way to select European markets soon, it has not shared any word on whether it plans to launch its flagship in India.
