Huawei sub-brand Honor is all set to launch its mid-range Honor 7X in India in December. Honor global president George Zhao confirmed during an interview with IANS. It seems Honor is probably running one month ahead of schedule as far as its launch cycle is concerned because Honor 6X came to India in January earlier this year.
“We will launch Honor 7X in December at such a price that it will have no competitor in that segment,” Zhao said while revealing the company’s roadmap in an interview with IANS. “We have the capability to out compete other dominating players in the Indian smartphone market in terms of quality, but our marketing efforts need to improve,” Zhao added.
Honor 7X sports 5.93-inch display with minimum bezels and 2160×1080 pixel resolution. The screen panel has a 2.5D arc glass protection on top. Design-wise, it carries a metal unibody with minimal bezels on both sides at the front. The power button and volume rockers are pitched at the right side of the device.
The circular fingerprint sensor is right below the rear camera module. Powering the handset is an octa-core Kirin 659 processor coupled with Mali-T830 GPU for graphics. It offers 4GB of RAM paired with three expandable storage options: 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB. On the software front, Honor 7X runs the company’s proprietary Emotion UI 5.1 based Android Nougat operating system.
As for photography, Honor 7X houses a 16-megapixel primary rear camera with a 2-megapixel additional sensor. Up front, it offers a 8-megapixel secondary camera for selfies and video calls. It’s based on a 3,340mAh battery and supports connectivity options like 4G with VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 LE, and GPS.
Honor 7X costs 1,299 yuan (approximately Rs 12,890) for 32GB storage option in China whereas 64GB storage option costs 1,699 yuan (approximately Rs 16,850). The 128GB option, on the other hand, costs 1,999 yuan (approximately Rs 19,799).
