Huawei owned Honor officially launched its newest mid-range smartphone in India last night, the Honor 7X. This smartphone was announced at an event held in London alongside the Honor V10 (which is expected to come to India next month). The Honor 7X comes with two key attractions – the first is the 18:9 aspect ratio minimal-bezel Full HD+ display and the second being the dual camera setup at the rear.
The smartphone will be sold in India exclusively on Amazon from December 7. However, you may have to be amongst the ‘fastest finger first’ customers, due to this device being made available in a flash sale. Hopefully, they won’t take a leaf out of Xiaomi’s book when it comes to flash sales and the device will be available for a lot more than a few seconds. Interestingly, it will be available in only two variants in the country: 32GB and 64GB. Honor is not bringing the 128GB internal storage variant to India, at least as of now.
As for specifications, the Honor 7X sports a 5.93-inch full HD+ IPS display with 18:9 aspect ratio and a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels. It is powered by a Kirin 659 octa-core chip with Mali 830 MP2 graphics along with 4GB of RAM. In India, the company will be offering two storage variants – 32GB and 64GB, the memory is expandable up to 256GB via microSD card. Both variants come with 4GB RAM. It runs Google’s Android 7.0 Nougat, with Honor’s own EMUI 5.1 on top.
As for the camera, the Honor 7X sports a 16-megapixel + 2-megapixel dual camera setup at the back with an LED flash. On the front, it features an 8-megapixel selfie camera. You can check the camera samples here.
The 32GB internal storage variant is priced at Rs 12,999, whereas the 64GB internal storage version is priced at Rs 15,999. The pricing is quite aggressive for the features that the Honor 7X offers. The first flash sale will be held on December 7 at 12 noon on Amazon India. Both the variants will be made available in a total of three colour options – Black, Blue, and Gold.
