Finnish smartphone maker HMD Global is rumoured to launch its alleged Nokia 2 Android-powered smartphone in November, a new report claims to have cited someone who manages the official Nokia Myanmar Facebook page. The unknown Nokia handset first spotted in a benchmark listing a few weeks ago. There are speculations that Nokia 2 could be announced before the end of the year. However, we are not able to verify the authenticity of this report at the time of writing this.
Last week, there was a report HMD Global is reportedly working on two new Nokia handsets, allegedly Nokia 9 and Nokia 2. The latter, however, is expected to be cheaper than Nokia 3 that became official in February earlier this year. The report in question also shed some light on possible design principles employed by both the smartphones.
According to leaked images, it could be featuring a single camera on the rear alongside LED flash. The randing could be seen carved in the centre whereas the volume controller and power buttons sit on the right side of the handset.
Nokia is expected pack a 4,000mAh battery under the hood. As per leaked specifications, Nokia 2 could sport a 5-inch HD display, a Snapdragon 212 SoC clocked at a maximum operating frequency of 1.27GHz, and 1GB of RAM. It is tipped to come with multiple variants and said to house an 8MP primary camera and a 5MP secondary camera for selfies and video calls. The Geekbench listing also reveals it could run Android 7.1 Nougat out of the box.
