HMD Global started rolling out Android Oreo for Nokia 8, as promised. The compant has already promised to roll out Android Oreo on other handsets. However, the update may not roll our for all of them at the same time.

Nokia 8 owners should now be ready to upgrade to the latest Android operating system. Previously, HMD Global’s Chief Product Officer, Juho Sarvikas, confirmed that after a short beta testing phase, the consumers will be provided with an Over the Air (OTA) update for their smartphones.

“Our growing community of beta testers are the first to receive Android 8.0 Oreo. By testing the software ahead of general release, your feedback will help us create the smoothest and purest Nokia phones experience,”
said HMD, while launching the Android 8.0 Oreo beta program.

The company earlier claimed to have over 2,000 Nokia 8 users enrolled in its Mobile Beta Labs program. During the announcement, the company also thanked all the beta testers for their feedback.

Now, Nokia is running the Android Oreo software. Since the final round of beta testing is over, the company will roll out OTA update for every Nokia 8 user in a phased manner.

We are yet to learn as to when the Nokia 7, Nokia 6, Nokia 3, and the Nokia 2 will receive the Android 8.0 Oreo update. HMD Global has been fairly silent regarding the update timeline. But we should know about it soon.
