HMD Global had just launched its first Nokia-branded flagship, the Nokia 8, but the company seems to have yet another (big) offering for its users. While rumours earlier have tipped the flagship to come under the moniker Nokia 9, the Finnish entitled its latest premium smartphone as Nokia 8.
However, the supposed Nokia 9 might be under works as HMD Global officials have tipped that there is another Nokia smartphone in transit. During the Nokia 8 launch, Neil Broadley, Global Marketing Manager for HMD in an interview with 4pda.ru, a Russian news outlet hinted at an upcoming smartphone with a bigger display. Reports point out that this could be the widely rumoured Nokia 9 which is expected to sport a 5.7-inch QHD display.
The supposed upcoming Nokia handset is expected “to meet the needs of absolutely all users”, however, there is no information on whether it will be introduced this year.
Reports earlier have speculated that the Nokia 9 will feature a 5.7-inch QHD display. It could be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 processor. The smartphone is tipped to carry a whopping 8gigabytes of RAM just like the OnePlus 5 and offer 128GB of storage.
