It’s almost confirm now that Samsung will announce its most-awaited Galaxy S9 lineup at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) later this month in Barcelona, Spain. In fact, Samsung has already sent out press invites to a Samsung Unpacked event scheduled for 25th February 2018. Now, a well-known tipster Evan Blass aka @evleaks has posted a few pictures, revealing what the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S9 could look like.
It goes without saying that Samsung’s 2018 lineup of flagship smartphones are expected to retain some of their design factors from the previous year. More importantly, the bezel-less craze won’t fade away all of a sudden, and for a valid reason: You may or may not hate narrow bezels, but you can’t ignore the trend for sure.
From what it looks like, a narrow-bezels display stands out incredibly well in the market, especially with top-of-the-line smartphones. And the previous Samsung Galaxy S8, S8+ and Note 8 have so far received an ample amount of attention on that front.
And yes, Samsung may have retained the Bixby button as well, at least that’s what Blass’ revelations seem to suggest. But in what could be good news for many, the company seems to have retained a 3.5mm audio jack as well, and apparently to go toe-to-toe with Apple iPhone X and Google Pixel 2 lineup. Notably, neither of them has a 3.5mm headphone jack. Samsung probably wants to be on a safe side.
Per rumours, Samsung Galaxy S9 is tipped to feature Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC and 6GB RAM. The handset is also expected with some advanced AI and facial recognition capabilities to take on Apple.
