Google Pixel is causing software freezing problems for its users. The navigation buttons at the bottom of the screen disappears unexpectedly and pops up again after a few seconds. The Pixel owners reported the issue in Google’s forum. A user named aris wright in the thread said,” My phone keeps freezing and I can’t get it to do it anything when it does. No response from any buttons for at least a minute and it will just start working randomly.”
Some other users in the forum said that the freezing issue was happening multiple times in a on their Pixel devices. Another user mikemmva claimed,” I had a 128gb black pixel xl. It would freeze every 4-9 hours. Sometimes it would freeze back to back 3 or 4 times in a row after restart.”
Google Support team however seems to be aware of the issue already. The team has directed the users to a support link in response to their queries.
Some users in Google forum thread have indicated that a third-party app Life’s 360 family locator-GPS tracker was causing the issue with the Pixel smartphones. Uninstalling the app have resolved the problem for some users. But users who didn’t have the Life360 app on their device faced the freezing issue too. A user VA-Jeep reported,” I have never had Life 360 and it locks up constantly.”
Others have reported that restoring the phone to factory defaults and using only Google’s default apps cause the phones to stop from freezing for now.
