Google has confirmed that the latest Nougat version update for the Motorola Nexus 6 units is on its way. As per the report from Android Authority, Google will provide the over-the-air update for the Motorola Nexus 6 handsets early in January next year. The report also cites Google’s reason for the delay in Android Nougat update for the Nexus 6 which was due to a “last minute bug that was specific” to that particular Nexus 6 device. Though there was no mention on the kind of bug that caused the delay, the company has claimed that the issue has been fixed and the OTA update will roll out soon to the Nexus 6 units. But like the usual Over-the-air updates, the roll-out will take time to reach all the Nexus users across the world.
The Android Nougat upgrade will bring several improvements for the Nexus 6 which includes- App shortcuts, support for circular app icons, keyboard image insertion and new emojis.
