Gionee last month brought its selfie-focused smartphone, Gionee X1 at an affordable price tag in India. The company has now announced a higher-end counterpart of the X1, the Gionee X1s that packs a massive battery. Priced at Rs. 12,999, the handset will be available across all retail stores in the country from September 21.
In terms of specifications, the Gionee X1s features a 5.2-inch HD IPS display with Gorilla glass 3 protection. The phone is powered by a 64-bit MT6737T Quad-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz. The all metal Gionee X1s runs Amigo 4.0 based Android 7.0 Nougat. The device comes with 3GB RAM and 16GB native storage which can be expanded up to 256GB via microSD card.
As far as the optics are concerned, it offers a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 16-megapixel selfie camera with LED flash module. The front-facing camera also packs in Face Beauty 2.0 and has Beautified Video. The smartphone has rear mounted fingerprint sensor which according to the company will stabilise selfies besides unlocking the phone.
The Gionee X1s carries a large 4000mAh battery and supports 4G VoLTE. The dual-SIM smartphone has a dedicated microSD slot which means you don’t have any hussle inserting two SIM cards and a microSD card as well. Connectivity options on the phone include- Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Micro-USB port for charging, and 3.5mm audio jack.
The new Gionee X1s bundles a few offers that include- two Paytm cashback voucher codes entitling Paytm users up to Rs. 250 cashback on a minimum purchase of Rs. 350 on Paytm Mall. Additionally, Airtel customers (existing or new) who purchase the handset can get up to 10GB extra data per month for up to 6 months on a recharge of 1GB or more.
