Earlier this week, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer Gionee launched two mid-range handsets, the Gionee M7 and M7 Power In China. The bigger variant Gionee M7 Power carries different aspects unlike the generic version with a bigger battery under the hood. While the company unveiled the smartphones in its home market, the M7 Power has now been introduced for global markets. Gionee announced the nearly bezel-less design smartphone at an event in Thailand at the Thailand Mobile Expo 2017.
The Gionee M7 Power features a 6-inch (1440 x 720 pixels) HD+ 18:9 FullView display with 85% screen-to-body ratio. The phone is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 435 SoC (system-on-chip) clocked at 1.4GHz. It comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB inbuilt storage and supports expandable storage up to 256GB via microSD card. As for the software, the M7 Power runs Amigo OS 5.0 based Android 7.1.1 Nougat. In terms of optics, it sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, f/2.0 aperture, and PDAF. Up front it has an 8-megapixel camera. The rear mounted finger print sensor is embedded below the primary camera. As mentioned, the phone a mammoth size 5000mAh battery and supports fast charging.
Design-wise, the M7 Power boasts high-grade 6-series aluminum back shell with laser-engraved and laser-drilled finishes. The hybrid dual-SIM smartphone supports 4G VoLTE and offers Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack and FM Radio under its connectivity suite. It measures 156.3 × 75.6 × 8.6mm and weighs 187 gram.
The Gionee M7 Power comes in three colour schemes- Gold color with laser-engraved finish, Black and Dark Blue colors in laser-drilled finish. The phone is priced at 9,990 Thai baht (around Rs. 19590).
