Gionee will launch its first bezel-less smartphone dubbed M7 Power in India this month, a source close to the company confirmed to Techook. If you recall, Gionee M7 Power first appeared in China late September along with Gionee M7. According to our source, Gionee M7 Power will launch in India sometime mid-November amid a bit of fanfare this time around, unlike the previously unveiled Gionee X1 and Gionee X1S.

As far as specs of Gionee M7 Power are concerned, it sports a 6-inch HD+ display with minimum bezels and an aspect ratio of 18:9. Powering the handset is an octa-core Snapdragon 435 SoC ticking at 1.4GHz along with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage (expandable up to 256GB). Gionee M7 Power runs Android Nougat with Amigo OS 5.0 on top. In terms of optics, it houses a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, f/2.0 aperture, and PDAF. Up front, there’s an 8-megapixel camera for selfies.

Gionee M7 Power packs a massive 5,000mAh battery with fast charging. Design-wise, Gionee M7 Power flaunts high-grade 6-series aluminum back shell with laser-engraved and laser-drilled finish. It measures 8.6mm in thickness and weighs 187 grams, which is expected, given that it packs such a huge capacity battery. In terms of connectivity, it supports 4G with VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Our source also confirmed to us that Gionee is planning to launch another handset dubbed Gionee S10 Lite in India next month. If you recall, Gionee S10 with a dual rear camera released in China in July. However, it never camera to India despite some reports claiming that it’ll be launched under Gionee’s A-series in the country. Gionee S10 Lite is expected to be a low-end variant of Gionee S10 in India. However, we’ve no other details to share about the same at this point.
