Gionee on Tuesday launched the Gionee A1 Plus, adding a new smartphone to its A series in India. The handset is priced at Rs. 26,999 and will be available for purchase via retail stores starting Wednesday, July 26.
The Gionee A1 Plus was officially introduced at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2017. In terms of specifications, the smartphone features a 6-inch full HD (1280×1920 pixels) display. It is powered by an octa-core Helio P25 processor paired with 4GB of RAM. The phone comes with an inbuilt storage of 64GB which is further expandable up to 256GB via microSD card.
The dual-SIM Gionee A1 Plus runs Android 7.0 Nougat with Amigo 4 layered atop. On the imaging front, it features a dual camera setup on the rear with one 13-megapixel sensor having f/2.0 aperture and another sensor with 5-megapixel resolution and f/2.2 aperture. At front, it has a 20-megapixel sensor with f/2.0 aperture and selfie flash. The A1 Plus is fueled by a big 4550mAh li-polymer battery. The phone comes with Ultrafast charging capability which Gionee claims will provide 2-hour talk time in 300 seconds of charging. The fingerprint sensor is located on the front and the device boasts a metal unibody design.
Connectivity options on the phone include- 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n (2.4GHz/5GHz), Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, Micro USB with OTG (on-the-go) support. The phone measures 166.4×83.3×9.1 and weighs 226 grams. The Gionee A1 Plus will be available in two colour schemes- Mocha Gold & Black.
