Xiaomi’s popular mid-range Redmi Note 4 has completed six months after the device first went on sale in India earlier this year. To celebrate, e-commerce site Flipkart has kicked off a limited-period sale on the Redmi Note 4 starting 12 noon today. The sale bundles several offers and discounts so those looking to buy the handset can get it for as low as Rs. 999. Flipkart is also offering buyback guarantee options and additional discount of Rs. 500 upon purchasing Xiaomi Mi Air Purifier 2.

The buyback guarantee offer of Rs 249 is available on all three variants of Redmi Note 4. As a result, users will also get an assured 40 percent value if they exchange the handset within the stipulated period which is 6-8 months, right from the date of purchase. For the Citi Credit card holders, Flipkart will offer extra savings on EMI transactions. It should be noted users will be able to get the Redmi Note 4 for a price as low as Rs. 999, only with the exchange of their old smartphone with the new Redmi Note 4.

“Exchange your old mobile, buy Redmi Note 4 for as low as Rs. 999, up to Rs. 12,000 off on exchange,” Flipkart listed on its website.

To recap, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 was launched in India in January this year for a starting price Rs. 9,999. The handset recently ranked as the best-selling smartphone in the country. Specifications wise, the Redmi Note 4 sports a 5.5-inch full HD display (1920×1080 resolution). It features a metal unibody design with 2.5D screen glass. The fingerprint sensor is embedded on the rear panel of the device. The phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor instead of MediaTek Helio X20 deca-core system which is banned in the country. The Snapdragon chipset uses 14nm FinFET technology and the company has claimed that processor is more power efficient and will deliver enhanced battery performance. The processor is coupled with Adreno GPU 506. Redmi Note 4 has a battery back-up of 4,100mAh.

The phone has a 13-megapixel primary camera that uses Sony CMOS sensor with 1.12µ pixel size. It has an LED flash with aperture f/2.0 and supports phase detection auto focus. The front features a 5-megapixel camera.

The device runs on Android Marshmallow with MIUI 8.0 skin layered on top of it. Notably, Flipkart on the Redmi Note 4 listing has revealed that the device will be upgraded to Android Nougat soon.

Redmi Note 4 house a hybrid dual-SIM card configuration with microSD slot included in it. The phone is 4G VoLTE enabled and comprises Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth V4.1, GPS, Micro-USB and Infrared in the connectivity option. Sensor options include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, electronic compass, and proximity sensor. The phone measures 151x76x8.35mm and weigh 175 grams.
