Facebook has recently been in news due to its Messenger Kids app. It has found its way to the Android operating system. The app is now available for download on the Google Play Store. However, for now, it is only downloadable in the U.S.

Facebook has also added various Valentine’s Day themed masks, stickers and frames. Kids will be able to send all of these to their friends and family. Additionally, children using Messenger Kids aren’t required to have a Facebook account to access the app. Their parents can simply sign them up for a Messenger Kids account.

Facebook Messenger Kids

Facebook has designed Messenger Kids for children within the age bracket of six to twelve. Parents with the help of the framework developed for this app can strictly control who their Kids can communicate with through the app. The app includes features like chatting, video calling and voice calling. Kids within the app can use masks, stickers, drawing tools and more to have much more interactive conversations.

The Internet is a huge ocean of content. Some of those things might not be suitable for Kids. However, they might stumble onto such things while surfing for ways to connect with their friends. The Facebook Messenger Kids app, if you ask me, is a step in the right direction to keep your kids safe from all such inappropriate content on the internet.
