With rumor mill spinning over Samsung 2017 flagship smartphone, a new leak revealed the design of the Galaxy S8. As per a report from GSM Arena, an anonymous case maker sent 3D renders of the upcoming Galaxy S8 to the site which confirms that the device is wiped off from the front home key button. The smartphone will sport a single camera module instead of dual camera set-up.

According to the rendered images, the Galaxy S8 will feature a sleek bezel design on both the sides as well as at the bottom and top. The images also reveal the absence of fingerprint sensor on the rear panel of the device. The smartphone will have a 3.5mm jack with a USB Type-C Port placed alongside. The images also showcased speaker grills at the top and bottom of Samsung Galaxy S8, conjecturing it will house stereo speakers.

A video also surfaced on the YouTube Channel that unveiled Galaxy S8 using its Samsung latest AMOLED technology. The video was posted by Samsung Display, the company’s screen-manufacturing arm, confirming that Samsung will ditch the physical home key button for its upcoming flagship smartphone. With the home key button smeared out from the bottom bezel, it will allow thinner bezels on top and bottom of the device.

Another rumour poured in previously indicating that the company’s SHealth app will get a big upgrade alongside the upcoming flagship’s launch. The app will feature integration with services like WebMD. In addition, the Galaxy S8 will come with improved front-camera, and iris scanner integrated in the front. The iris scanner however, is not a new feature as it was already on Samsung fiasco smartphone Galaxy Note 7. With the iris scanner, the user will be able to unlock the device by looking at it.

Sammobile in its report claimed that the SHealth app will see a big overhaul with the Samsung Galaxy S8 release. The app will be integrated with medical information like WebMD and Amwell. The report cites that the user with this app will be able to book a doctor’s appointment and even conduct video appointments with them around the clock. The new version will enable you to search for pharmacies nearby, store critical information about your health for doctor’s review.

A Chinese tipster also put its print on Galaxy S8’s rumour list. The tipster unveiled the model numbers of the Galaxy S8 along with its Plus variant. The model number for the Galaxy S8 will be SM-G9500/SM-G950X and for the Galaxy S8 Plus it will be SM-G9550/G955X. as per the tipster the base model number is for the Chinese market and the model number with ‘X’ will be replaced by specific numbers depending on regions and carriers.

The next generation smartphone which is expected to hit the markets in April this year will likely feature Siri-like built-in voice assistant, christened ‘Bixby’. The Galaxy S8 will be the first smartphone to carry this feature. The assistant as per reports is claimed to be used by all Samsung’s first-party applications.
