Dell launched its much-awaited Dell XPS 13 in India. Dell had first showcased the laptop at CES 2018. The company claims that this is the world’s smallest 13-inch laptop currently being sold in the market.
The XPS 13 is powered by the 8th generation Intel Core processors, and sports a 4K Ultra HD InfinityEdge display, but only on select models. The company also claims that the full HD variant of the laptop can deliver 19 hours of usage on a full charge.
As for the specifications, the base and the middle variant of the Dell XPS 13 will sport a 13-inch full-HD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, whereas the top variant will sport a 13-inch Ultra HD + HDR display with a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels. The base variant is powered by an 8th generation Intel Core i5 processor coupled with 8GB RAM and 256GB SSD. The mid and top variants are powered by 8th Generation Core i7 processors coupled with 16GB of RAM along with 512GB SSD. All three variants run on Microsoft’s Windows 10 Home operating system accompanied by Office Home and Student 2016.
One of the things that I personally liked about the laptop lineup is that it comes with GORE Thermal Insulation, which helps the device stay cool even when performing extremely graphic intensive tasks.
All three variants will be available across India at Dell exclusive stores, Croma and Reliance Digital stores starting February 20. However, if you aren’t patient enough to wait, you can order one right now from Dell India’s official website. The base variant has been priced at Rs 94,790, the middle model can be purchased for Rs 1,41,490 and finally, the high-end variant with the Ultra HD display can be yours for Rs 1,59,790. It will be available in Rose Gold and Alpine White colour variants. Additionally, there will also be a limited edition Platinum Silver colour variant, which will be accompanied by a carbon fibre black palm rest.
