The Chinese tech company Coolpad on Friday launched Coolpad Note 5 Lite C, adding a new smartphone to its Note series in India. The smartphone is the first from the company to be available exclusively offline. The new Note 5 Lite C is priced at Rs. 7,777 and it will go on sale starting August 5 across 3000 multi-brand stores in eight states- Delhi NCR, Haryana, Telangana, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra.
The Coolpad Note 5 Lite C features a 5-inch HD (720×1280 resolution) display with a pixel density of 294 ppi. The phone is powered by a Snapdragon 210 quad-core processor clocked at 1.1GHz and paired with 2GB of RAM. The smartphone comes with 16GB storage which is expandable up to 64GB. On the software front, it runs Android 7.1 Nougat out-of-the-box. Notably, the Note 5 Lite C besides being the first offline exclusive handset it is also the first smartphone from the company to come with Android Nougat OS.
Speaking about the design, the smartphone boasts a metal body with fingerprint sensor located on the back panel below the primary camera. The volume keys are placed on the left side while the power button and SIM/microSD slot sitting on the left side. The Micro-USB and speaker grills sit at the bottom while the top house the 3.5mm headphone jack.
As far as the optics are concerned, the Coolpad Note 5 Lite sports an 8-megapixel rear camera with f/2.4 aperture and LED flash. Up front, it has a 5-megapixel sensor with f/2.4 aperture. The smartphone packs a 2500mAH battery which Coolpad claims to deliver 240 hours of standby time. Connectivity options include- 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0. The smartphone measures 142.4×70.4×7.95mm. Sensors on board include- accelerometer, proximity sensor, and light sensor. The Coolpad Note 5 Lite C will be available in two colour options- Grey and Gold

The company also confirmed that it will be announcing an annual flagship smartphone on August 20 and it will be available exclusively on the e-commerce site, Amazon India.
